Mankato, MN - In a game that featured an eight run second inning for the MoonDogs, two delays due to weather, and the hilarious antics of the ZOOperstars! , the MoonDogs were able to improve their record to 6-9 by a score of 11-1 Tuesday night at Franklin Rogers Park in Mankato, Minnesota over the Alexandria Blue Anchors (2-12).

The eight run second inning was highlighted by a three run Kaden Moore homerun, who finished 2-for-4 with four RBI's, that homerun and two runs scored.

Craig Nennig and Boomer Synek each drove in a pair in the marathon second frame. Nennig finished 2-for-4 with two RBI's and two runs scored, while Synek went 2-for-5 with two RBI's and two runs scored.

Paul Panaccione also added three hits as the MoonDogs were able to tally 13 on the night.

The win goes to Ben Nelson (1-0) as he came in relief of starter Reece Eddins who left the game due to an early rain delay. Connor O'Brien and Jordan Scheftz worked the final four innings keeping the Blue Anchors off the board.

For Alexandria, Zach Engelken took the loss falling to 0-1 on the year. Dane Hutcheon and Ricky Sanchez each had two hits to lead Alexandria.

Game two of the series, and game three of the five of the home stand continues tomorrow night at The Frank at 7:05pm where it is Social Media and Dollar Dog Night.
