Wisconsin Rapids Rafters News Release

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - After a 6-3 loss on Tuesday night, the Rafters now trail the Loggers 2-1 in the two teams' 2015 season series. Wisconsin Rapids has a chance to knot the series at 2-2 tonight as the Rafters host the Loggers at Witter Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

On Tuesday night, the game started with the Rafters matching the Loggers run-for-run early, but La Crosse took the lead in the fifth and never looked back, picking up their sixth straight win early in the season.

Chris Falwell (Cisco College), who was drafted in the 29th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates earlier today, will be on the mound for the Rafters. The lanky lefty earned a no-decision in his first start, throwing five innings of one-run ball against Lakeshore. The Round Rock, Texas native held the Chinooks to just two hits while striking out seven.

Following the game, fans in attendance will be entertained by Dan "The Bullet" Smith as he launches himself out of a cannon as The Human Cannonball, presented by Heartland Farms. Smith will be shot from center field and land in a net over home plate.

Smith has performed more than 5,000 times all around the world and was featured on NBC's America's Got Talent. His father David "Cannonball" Smith Sr. held the Guinness world record for the farthest-flying human cannonball until The Bullet flew 193 feet, 8.8 inches in 2011. Gates open for tonight's game at 6:05 p.m.
