Matthews (NC) - The Charlotte Independence fell to the Tampa Bay Rowdies 3-1 at the Sportsplex at Matthews on Saturday night. The top of the table away opponent notched three goals before the Independence made a late rally via a Hugh Roberts score.

The Charlotte Independence will next be in action this Friday night as the team travels to take on New York Red Bulls II at MSU Soccer Park in Montclair, New Jersey. The official watch party will be hosted at Jack's House Soccer Bar and Event Space (1523 Elizabeth Ave. suite 120, Charlotte, NC, 28204). Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET. 2019 Season Members will be treated for free food and one complimentary beverage.
