Energy FC Back Home Sunday Evening

September 7, 2019 - United Soccer League Championship (USL) - OKC Energy FC News Release

Energy FC (6th, 9-8-10, 37 points) return home after a gritty, 2-2 draw against Real Monarchs SLC. Rafael Garcia and Deshorn Brown, with his 11th goal of the season, helped earn a valuable point on the road.

Next up is New Mexico United's (12th, 8-8-10, 34 points) first-ever visit to Taft Stadium. OKC and New Mexico battled to a 1-1 draw at Isotopes Park back on June 5. At the time, New Mexico United were top of the Western Conference. That night, Devon Sandoval gave the hosts the lead before a Deshorn Brown goal rescued a point for the Greens.

New Mexico United have hit a rough patch since the meeting on June 5, losing seven, drawing three and winning just two matches.

Deshorn Brown still leads OKC with 10 goals, Omar Gordon has the most assists with seven, and Cody Laurendi is now at a league-leading 84 saves.
