Roussin, Werner, Fukufuji Return To Manchester

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled left wing Dany Roussin, defenseman Eric Werner and goaltender Yutaka Fukufuji from the Reading Royals of the ECHL, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today. In addition, the club released right wing Erick Lizon from his amateur tryout agreement.

Roussin, 21, appeared in 29 regular season games with the Monarchs, collecting six points (4-2=6) and 24 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound native of Quebec City, Quebec, played in 41 games with the Royals this season, recording 45 points (22-23=45) and 14 penalty minutes. Selected by the Kings in the second-round (50th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Roussin picked up one assist in one playoff game with the Royals.

Werner, 23, played in 15 games with Manchester during the 2005-06 regular season and registered seven points, all assists, and 10 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound native of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan, appeared in 58 games with the Royals, recording 42 points (12-30=42) and 38 penalty minutes. Werner led all active Royals blueliners in goals (12), assists (30) and points (42) during the regular season and ranked second on the team during the playoffs with five points (2-3=5) in four games.

Fukufuji, 23, was in net for two games for the Monarchs this season and collected a record of 1-1-0 and a goals-against-average of 3.00. In 29 regular season games with Reading, the 6-foot-1, 186-pound native of Tokyo, Japan, earned a record 15-9-4 and a goals-against-average of 2.91. Fukufuji appeared in four post-season games with Reading and registered a 1-2-0 record and a 3.37 goals-against-average.

Lizon, 21, collected 23 points (11-12=23) and 127 penalty minutes in 65 games with the Victoriaville Tigres of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this season. The 6-foot-4, 199-pound native of Kitchener, Ontario, played with the Tigres for the past two seasons (2004-05 and 2005-06) and compiled 34 points (14-20=34) and 230 penalty minutes in 103 career games. Lizon joined the Monarchs on April 4 but did not appear in a game.

The Monarchs bring the Atlantic Division semifinal Series B home for game three at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Friday, April 21. The action between Manchester and Hartford begins at 7:35 p.m. The series is split one game apiece.
