PAPILLION, Neb. - Four runs in the final three innings were not enough as the Express were clipped 5-4 by the Omaha Storm Chasers in Thursday night's Pacific Coast League series finale at Werner Park. Omaha swept the series 4-0.

The Express (2-6) managed just one hit off Storm Chasers (7-1) starter Nate Adcock. However, the Round Rock bats came alive in the later innings as the team scored two runs in the seventh and another in the eighth. Michael Bianucci singled to drive in Greg Miclat with no outs in the top of the ninth inning to bring the Express within a run, but Tommy Hottovy got Brad Nelson to strike out and Joey Butler grounded into a double play to end the game with runners at the corners.

The loss marks the first time the Express have been swept since Aug. 30-Sept. 2, 2010 at Omaha. Rock Round has lost six in a row for the first time since August 30, 2010.

Adcock (2-0) picked up the win for Omaha after six shutout innings. He allowed one hit and three walks and struck out two.

Neil Ramirez (0-1) suffered the loss after five rocky innings. He allowed four runs on six hits and two walks and struck out four.

Tony Abreu led the charge for Omaha with three hits, including a two-run double in a three-run fifth inning. Irving Falu also added a pair of RBI.

Yangervis Solarte had a pair of hits for the Express while Bianucci added two hits and two RBI. Tommy Mendonca and Dusty Brown each had a double.

The Express head back to Round Rock for Friday's home opener at The Dell Diamond. An eight-game home stand begins with a four-game series against Iowa. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. CDT. Right-hander Greg Reynolds (0-0, 3.00 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Express opposite Cubs right-hander Jay Jackson (0-0, 5.79 ERA).
