Oklahoma City, Okla. - Dallas Keuchel, Mickey Storey and Jose Valdez combined on a five-hit shutout as the Oklahoma City RedHawks (6-2) took a 2-0 win over the Nashville Sounds (2-6) and clinched a series victory before 3,268 Thursday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Keuchel (2-0) dealt seven shutout innings with four hits, no walks and five strikeouts for the winning decision. The left-hander induced 12 groundouts with only one fly out. Josh Butler (0-2) took a tough-luck losing decision with two earned runs and five hits in six innings. Valdez (1) saved the game with a one-hit ninth inning.

The RedHawks scored the only runs in the game during the seventh inning. Butler allowed back-to-back singles from Fernando Martinez and Mike Hessman before handing the ball to reliever Victor Garate. After a Scott Moore sacrifice bunt, pinch-hitter Justin Ruggiano singled to short right field and brought in Martinez and Hessman for a 2-0 lead.
