Toronto Marlies News Release
The Toronto Marlies and Manitoba Moose will meet for a second straight day when they face off on Saturday afternoon in Winnipeg.
The first game of the weekend series came down to the wire as Chris Mueller scored on the doorstep with just 24 seconds left to lift the Marlies to victory.
In last night's victory, Mueller, Ben Smith, Adam Brooks and Dmytro Timashov all finished the game with multi-point performances.
Smith leads all Marlies players with four points (1G, 3A) in the three games against Manitoba this season.
The Marlies (49-18-1-1) have won six consecutive road games entering Saturday's contest and have a 28-5-0-1 record playing away from home.
Manitoba (39-23-4-4) has now lost four straight games at home and seven of their last ten games overall.
Saturday's game will be the last of the regular season series between the two sides and the Marlies are looking to make it even with a strong performance in Winnipet yet again.
