Rampage Split Weekend Series against Heat After 4-1 Loss

SAN ANTONIO ------ The San Antonio Rampage (33-27-10-0) struck first against the Stockton Heat (31-25-2-4) but ultimately fell 4-1 on Saturday at the AT&T Center.

After more than 28 minutes of scoreless hockey, the Rampage got on the board when Zach Sanford found Samuel Blais, who fired a wrister from the right circle into the back of the net for his second power-play goal in as many nights at the 8:33 mark of the second period. Stockton evened the game at 15:14 after Darren Nowick finished a backdoor pass from Brett Findlay for his second goal of the season.

The Heat recorded a power-play goal of their own at 4:02 of the closing period when Brett Pollock's pass attempt deflected off a Rampage skate and into the net. Morgan Klimchuk and Ryan Lomberg both added empty-net goals in the final minutes of regulation as Stockton defeated San Antonio 4-1.
