San Jose Barracuda News Release

Rockford, IL. - The San Jose Barracuda (28-26-4-4) led by a pair heading into the final period on Saturday at BMO Harris Bank Center, but the Rockford IceHogs (37-25-4-4) stormed back with four unanswered goals in the third to claim their fourth straight win, 5-3.

During a four-on-four sequence in the first, Sam Warning (2) intercepted the puck at Rockford's line, raced up ice, and beat Jeff Glass with a nifty forehand-to-backhand move at 7:49. Adam Clendening (5) evened the score on the IceHogs third power play of the period as he wired a slap shot from the point three seconds into the man advantage at 15:38.

In the second, San Jose regained its lead when former IceHog Brandon Mashinter (11) poked in a pass from Radim Simek on the PP at 6:58. Less than a minute later, Caleb Herbert (2) made it 3-1 'Cuda as he tipped a Warning shot past Glass at 7:30.

In the third, Rockford exploded for four goals in the first five minutes on five shots. Lance Bouma (5) started the scoring by directing a back-door feed from Clendening 41 seconds into the period. Henrik Samuelsson then stuffed in the equalizer at 2:11, and Luc Snuggerud (5) fired in the go-ahead goal from the right point at 4:14. 14 seconds later Matthew Highmore (22) ripped a wrist shot past Willams at 4:25.

Stephon Williams (1-1-0) suffered the loss after allowing five goals on 30 shots, while Glass (15-8-2) earned the win after making 19 saves on 22 shots.
