
Roughnecks trade Brad MacDonald to Toronto

Calgary, AB - In a surprise move, young Roughnecks defender Brad MacDonald was traded to the 2005 NLL champions Toronto Rock a first round draft pick in the 2006 Entry Draft.
MacDonald 22, was the Roughnecks 2nd pick (23rd overall) in the 2003 Entry Draft.
In his first season with the Riggers, he posted a 9-0 record and helped the Calgary squad capture the 2004 NLL championship in only its third year of existence.
MacDonald (5-foot-11, 190lb.) is a native of Orangeville, Ontario. In 21 regular season games Brad posted 7 goals, 10 assists for 17 points in two season with the Roughnecks and played in 4 playoff games posting 1 goal.
Roughnecks owner / President Brad Banister said, "We're sorry to see Brad go. He is a great guy and has the makings of a top right defender in the NLL."
"We believe that in the long run this move will help us continue to pick up promising young players who will keep our club among the elite in the NLL."
