
Roughnecks Defeat Rush 12-8

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks scored six fourth quarter goals to pick up their first home win of the season in a 12-8 victory over the Edmonton Rush Saturday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Curtis Dickson notched three goals and added two helpers, recording his fifth straight hat-trick against the Rush. Rookie Travis Cornwall scored his first two National Lacrosse League goals while Jeff Shattler (2), Daryl Veltman (2), Shawn Evans (1), Geoff Snider (1), and Curtis Manning (1) also scored for Calgary.
Scott Evans led the Rush with five points (2g, 3a) while Corey Small scored two goals and chipped in two helpers for the visitors.
Mike Poulin made 41 saves for Calgary as the Roughnecks held the Rush to two goals in the first half. Snider led the team with 20 loose balls and won 18 of 23 face-offs.
The Roughnecks next see action when they visit the Colorado Mammoth on Friday, February 24 at 7:00 p.m.
