
Calgary wins over Rockets

Kelowna, BC - The Calgary Hitmen are now 2-0 on their three game BC road trip following a 7-1 win over the Kelowna Rockets Friday night at Prospera Place.
Alex Gogolev led the scoring attack with a goal and two assists while Danny Gayle scored twice.
Brady Brassart, Victor Rask, Greg Chase and Alex Roach also scored for the Hitmen who built period leads of 1-0 and 5-0.
Kenton Helgesen chipped in a pair of assists as 11 different Hitmen had at least a point.
Madison Bowey broke Chris Driedger's shutout attempt scoring the lone Rockets goal with 36 seconds remaining. Driedger finished with 22 saves.
The Hitmen won the special teams battle going 3-5 on the powerplay while killing all three Rockets chances.
Calgary, now 34-22-2-1, remains tied with Saskatoon for fifth in the Western Hockey League Eastern Conference with 71 points.
The Hitmen wrap up their road trip tomorrow night in Kamloops against the WHL leading Blazers.
