Roster Shakeup For Lynx Pitching Staff

OTTAWA - Lynx reliever John Ennis was placed on the disabled list today with a groin injury and starter Brian Mazone was granted his release and will play the rest of the 2007 season in Korea. Heath Totten has been transferred to the Lynx from Double-A Reading.

Totten, 28, is 2-4 with a 4.46 ERA in six starts with Reading this season. He is third on the Reading staff in both innings pitched and strikeouts. The Texas native spent last season at Double-A Jacksonville, where he went 8-5 with a 3.29 ERA in 21 games.

Ennis, 27, is 2-0 with a tiny 0.59 ERA for the Lynx this season. He is tied for 3rd on the team in strikeouts (16), 5th in innings pitched (15.1) and has allowed only one run in 10 games. He split last season between Double-A Erie and Triple-A Toledo, combining for a 2-4 record with a 2.71 ERA and 13 saves.

Mazone, 30, is 3-2 with a 2.21 ERA in six starts for the Lynx this season. He leads the Lynx in innings pitched (36.2) and WHIP (1.04) and is 2nd in strikeouts (20). Last year, he led the International League in ERA (2.03) and finished tied for 2nd in wins (13).
