Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees News Release

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees will play a day/night doubleheader on Saturday, July 7 vs. Ottawa at PNC Field the club announced today.

Game one will start at 1:30 and game two will begin at the regularly scheduled time of 7:00 p.m. Both games will be nine innings in length.

The doubleheader was necessitated by a rainout on April 25 against the Lynx.

"We felt the decision to have a day/night doubleheader was in the best interest of our fans, especially the season ticket holders who were unable to use their tickets on April 25," said Yankees Executive Vice President/COO Jeremy Ruby. "By rescheduling the game as a separate admission game, they will now have the opportunity to use their tickets on a premium date in July and still have the same great seat."

Anyone holding tickets to the April 25 postponed game against Ottawa has two options for their tickets:

Ticket holders may either redeem that ticket for the 1st (1:30) game on Saturday, July 7th or, those not choosing to use their tickets for the July 7th date may exchange their April 25th ticket for any Monday-Thursday game based on availability.

Fans simply need to bring their April 25 ticket on July 7 (G1) to gain admission.

The stadium will be cleared immediately upon the conclusion of the 1:30 game in order to prepare for the regularly scheduled 7:00 P.M. game.

Upper reserved seating is available for either game, but anyone interested in seeing both games must purchase tickets to those separately. Tickets may be purchased online at www.swbyankees.com, www.ticketmaster.com, in person at the PNC Field Box Office, by calling 570-693-4100 or at local Ticketmaster outlets.

The PNC Field Box Office is open 10-5 M-F, 10-4 on Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to the end of the game on game days.
