April 18, 2012 - Eastern League (EL1)
Harrisburg Senators News Release

For the second straight night, the Senators starting pitcher was the story as the Sens beat Altoona 7-1. One night after Jeff Mandel pitched seven shutout innings and drove in three runs, Danny Rosenbaum pitched a complete game to earn his second win on the season.

Harrisburg would score all the would need in the first when Tim Pahuta drove in Jeff Kobernus with a groundout followed by Destin Hood scoring when Chris Rahl reached on an error. The 2-0 Senators lead turned into a 5-0 lead in the third inning when the Senators batted around and scored on three consecutive two-out singles off the bats of Pahuta, Rahl and Stephen King.

They would score two more in the seventh when Pahuta and Rahl went back-to-back with two outs, both of the home runs going to right field, to give the Senators a 7-1 lead.

The real story on Wednesday night was Rosenbaum. The only run he allowed came with two outs in the seventh and was an unearned run. He struck out the final two batters in the game to finish things off. He retired 13 batters in a row spanning the third to seventh innings and finished by retiring the final seven batters he faced.

With the win Harrisburg is 9-5 while Altoona falls to 5-7 with the loss.

The Senators hit the road for seven games with the first four in Trenton. Game one of the series is Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. The game can be heard on 1460am The Ticket, on the Internet through the Senators website and iHeart radio, and on your iPod or iPad beginning at 6:45 p.m.
