(Pawtucket, RI) - Jonathan Roof lined a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning to plate Allen Craig with the winning run as the PawSox completed a three-game sweep of the first-place Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, 4-3, on Wednesday night at McCoy Stadium in front of 6,374 fans.

Craig, who tied the game at 3 in the fifth with his fourth home run of the season, led off the 10th with a single against reliever Caleb Cotham (2-1). One out later Humberto Quintero singled to advance Craig to second, and then a fielder's choice grounder by Garin Cecchini left runners on the corners with two outs.

Roof then delivered his walk-off single to right center to end a 3 hour and 20 minute contest. Pawtucket (52-80) earned its third series sweep of the season and first since May 5-7th at Toledo.

After PawSox starter Zeke Spruill allowed three runs in six innings of work, Keith Couch entered in relief and worked 3.1 scoreless and hitless frames in his first appearance since being activated off the disabled list two days earlier. Couch was relieved by Pat Light (2-4) with one and a runner on first base out in the 10th.

Gregorio Petit singled to greet Light and put Scranton runners on the corners with one out, but Light then escaped the jam by striking out Aaron Judge and inducing a fly out from Slade Heathcott.

The RailRiders took leads of 2-0 and 3-2 against Spruill, but each time Pawtucket came back to tie the game against Scranton starter Caleb Smith, who lasted only 4.1 innings in his Triple-A debut. Two-out RBI singles by Mike Miller and Deven Marrero tied the score at 2 in the second after the 'Riders plated a pair of two-out runs in the top of the inning.

Scranton regained the lead with a run in the top of the fourth that scored on an error by third-baseman Carlos Rivero, but Craig's solo shot to left field against Smith on a 3-1 pitch in the fifth tied the score at 3.

Marrero (2-for-4, walk, RBI), Craig (2-for-5, RBI), Roof (2-for-3, two walks, RBI) and Miller (2-for-4, RBI) each had a pair of Pawtucket's 11 base hits. Jose Pirela went 3-for-4 with a walk to lead Scranton's nine-hit attack.

Pawtucket next heads to Buffalo and Rochester for a five-game road trip, the final one of the season. The trip begins with the opener of a two-game set against the Bisons on Thursday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.

Left-hander Rich Hill (1-1, 1.35) will start for Pawtucket against Buffalo righty Todd Redmond (2-5, 4.33). Radio coverage on 920 AM (WHJJ) and also streaming online begins at 6:50 pm. The game can also be seen across New England on NESN.

The PawSox return home on Tuesday, September 1st to welcome Lehigh Valley at the beginning of the final homestand of the 2015 season. Good seats are still available at the McCoy Stadium box office, by calling (401) 724-7300 or by visiting pawsox.com.
