INDIANAPOLIS -- Michael Lorenzen pitched eight one-hit innings, Juan Perez homered and the Louisville Bats shut out the Indianapolis Indians, 3-0, Wednesday afternoon at Victory Field.

Lorenzen cruised to face just two above the minimum with four strikeouts. He allowed a lone single to Travis Snider in the fourth inning before inducing a double play and retiring each of his final 14 batters.

Tribe starter Vance Worley took the loss despite a quality start of three runs in six innings of work. The right-hander rebounded from a pair of two-out runs in the first frame to allow only a solo homer to Perez through the remainder of his outing.

Worley has now factored into the final decision of each of his last six starts for the Indians, going 4-2 since the 2014 season.

The Bats outhit the Tribe, 11-1, in the series-clinching game.
