INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Louisville (62-70), won its second consecutive game and took the series against the Indians (77-55), 3-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Victory Field. The Bats finish the season at Victory Field 8-6 after winning seven of 11 in Indy last season. Michael Lorenzen (4-2, 1.88) tossed eight scoreless innings and struck out three and earned the win for the Bats.

It didn't take long for the Bats to get on the board as they scored two in the first inning with two outs off of Indians right-hander Vance Worley. Adam Duvall recorded an RBI single to center and Juan Silva had an infield single to extend the lead to two runs.

The only other run in the game came off the bat of Juan Perez, as he hit his second home run in two days for the Bats and his second of his Triple-A career, giving Louisville the 3-0 lead that would hold for the win.

Drew Hayes came on in the ninth and earned his third save of the year pitching a perfect ninth inning. It was the first combined one-hitter for the Bats since September 3, 2006 vs. Indianapolis. Tom Shearn, Bran Salmon and Scott Chiassson combined for the one-hitter on that day.

Vance Worley took the loss allowing three runs on nine hits in six innings while striking out two and walking three. The Indians bullpen tossed three scoreless innings to end the game.

Both teams will come back to Louisville Slugger Field for a quick two-game set beginning tomorrow night at 7:05 pm. Tyler Glasnow (1-0, 0.99) will toe the rubber for the Indians while the Bats are to be announced for the fourth game of the five-game split series.
