Roof Man Returns; Blood Drive August 20th

LAKEWOOD, NJ - Ryan Ragan, "The Roof Man" and COO of Central Jersey Blood Center, will return to the roof of FirstEnergy Park on August 15th in anticipation of a blood drive at the ballpark on August 20th.

Ragan will be living on the FirstEnergy Park roof for the third straight year to help raise awareness for the need of blood, especially during the summer months. He will be coming down only for BlueClaws games and will be Tweeting from @CJBCRoofman.

The blood drive at FirstEnergy Park will take place on August 20th from 7 am - 2 pm and donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 with parental consent).

There will be raffle prizes including a team autographed BlueClaws jersey, and all donors will receive tickets to a 2012 BlueClaws home game.

"Who needs the beach and the boardwalk when we have the roof at FirstEnergy Park - asked Ragan. "CJBC and the BlueClaws have been great partners in the last few years and we're looking forward to another successful blood drive."

Blood donated to Central Jersey Blood Center helps to treat premature babies, burn and trauma victims, patients suffering from leukemia and other cancers, cardiac disease, and many other conditions that depend on blood products for recovery.
