HICKORY, NC - The 1st-Half Northern Division Champion Crawdads only have a month left in the regular season so don't miss out on your chance to see Hickory's 1st-Place team! The 'Dads kick off a four-game home series tonight with the Hagerstown Suns in a battle of divisional rivals.
The Crawdads are 62-42 overall this season, the best overall record in the South Atlantic League. Hickory's 22-14 record in the 2nd half puts them one and a half games ahead of the Kannapolis Intimidators for 1st place.

PLAYER AND TEAM NOTES:
~ The Crawdads posted a 17-11 record in July, and are 35-18 since May.
~ For the month of July, 1B Andrew Clark hit .313 with a team-high 27 RBI, 20 walks, and eight home runs.
~ The Crawdads 26 home runs in July was their best monthly output this season.
~ C Tomas Telis is riding a nine-game hitting streak that started on July 20 vs. Greensboro. During the streak, he has recorded 11 hits in 38 at bats (.289).
~ RHP Roman Mendez posted a team-high three wins in July, going 3-0 with a 1.32 ERA in six starts, striking out 41 in 34.0 innings.
~ In the month of July, the Crawdads posted three shutouts (7/18, 7/26, 7/31). They have six on the season.
~ Hickory has the highest team batting average (.278) and on base percentage (.356) in the SAL.
