LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Stefen Romero collected four hits, homered twice and drove in four runs as the Tacoma Rainiers rolled the Las Vegas 51s 12-5 at Cashman Field on Wednesday night.

Romero went deep with a one-out, two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning - his fourth this season - and then belted a solo shot to lead off the ninth. The outfielder racked up another RBI earlier in the contest with a double that scored Nate Tenbrink in the fifth.

Tacoma jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and stayed ahead for good after posting a four-run frame in the second. Abraham Almonte paved the way for Romero to score Tacoma's first run after grounding into a force out, and Franklin Gutierrez doubled the Rainiers advantage with an RBI single one at-bat later.

The outfielder Almonte put Tacoma up 3-0 after stealing home with shortstop Brad Miller at the plate. Miller rounded out the inning with a single to centerfield that cleared Gutierrez to score.

As a team, the Rainiers combined to collect 14 hits against the 51s. Catcher Jason Jaramillo turned in a season-high 4-for-5 effort that included an RBI single in the third inning, and infielder Robert Andino tallied his first multi-hit game with Tacoma after going 2-for-4 with a double.

Miller and outfielder Dustin Ackley each collected hits to stretch their hitting streaks to 13 games - tied for the longest hitting streaks recorded by a Rainiers player this season. Miller went 1-for-3 with an RBI and Ackley singled in the eighth inning.

Starter James Paxton (3-5) earned the win after holding the 51s to four runs, three earned, on nine hits over 5.0 innings. The left-hander walked three and struck out one in his 13th start for the Rainiers this season.
