CHARLESTON, WV (June 7, 2005) â The West Virginia Power, Class A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers have made a few more changes to their roster.
Today right-handed pitcher Mark Rogers and utility player Will Lewis have been activated from the disabled list and third baseman Tony Festa has been added to the Power roster. Utility player Agustin Septimo and right handed pitcher Simon Beresford have been sent to Helena, and Catcher Nestor Corredor has been promoted to AAA Nashville.
Mark Rogers, the fifth overall pick in 2004 was 0-4 with a 4.97 ERA before being placed on the disabled list, he will start tonight's game. Will Lewis hit .292 over 36 games with the Power before going on the shelf with a sore right hand. Tony Festa joins the Power from extended spring training. Last year the third baseman hit .305 with 7 homeruns and 53 RBI over 67 games with Helena.
Simon Beresford was 1-1 with a 7.18 ERA being heading to Helena. Agustin Septimo hit .244 over 28 games and Nestor Corredor hit .208 with 9 RBI over 25 games.
The Power will begin a four game series with the Lexington Legends at Appalachian Power Park tonight. Right-handed pitcher Mark Rogers (0-4, 4.97) will throw for the Power and the Legends will counter with right-handed pitcher Jimmy Barthmaier (5-1, 2.16).
