Rodney Named American Conference All-Star Starter

The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that defenseman Bryan Rodney has been selected as a starter for the American Conference All-Stars in the upcoming 2008 Chase Chevrolet ECHL All-Star Game to be held January 23, 2008, at Stockton Arena in Stockton, CA.

Rodney posted 10 points on five goals and five assists in six games with Elmira. For the period of December 3rd - 9th, Rodney was named the InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week with four goals and three assists for seven points in four contests. Rodney began the season with the Columbia Inferno, totaling two goals and 11 points in 17 contests.

He was traded to Fresno November 27th, but did not report to the Falcons. The Jackals acquired him on December 4th and Rodney put points on the board in four of his six games with Elmira, including a four-point effort (two goals and two assists) in Wheeling December 9th as part of a three-game goal/point scoring streak.

Rodney signed an American Hockey League contract with the Albany River Rats on December 19th.
