Holiday-Themed Jerseys Highlight "Winter Thunderland" on Friday, Saturday

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, has announced special "Winter Thunderland" themed third jerseys will be worn by the Thunder for Friday's game against the Bakersfield Condors and Saturday's game against the Phoenix RoadRunners at Stockton Arena. A "Jersey Off Our Back" auction, presented by Comcast and 104.1 The Hawk, following Saturday's game.

The jersey, which will feature the recognizable Thunder "Thor" mascot logo accentuated with a Santa Claus hat and sack of presents across the front, will include red-colored thunder bolts adorning the side of a white jersey and black numbers trimmed in white and red.

Fans will have the opportunity to take home a player's game-worn jersey in a live auction following Saturday's game. All proceeds of the auction will benefit the Stockton Thunder and Lightning Foundation. A random drawing for a select jersey will also be held during Saturday's game, open to all fans in attendance.

Additionally, fans in attendance are eligible to participate in Friday and Saturday's "Holiday Ornament Silent Auction," where hand-decorated Holiday Ornaments by Thunder players will be auctioned off for charity, with proceeds benefiting the Women's Center of San Joaquin County.

2008 CHASE CHEVROLET ECHL ALL-STAR GAME

The Thunder is hosting the 2008 Chase Chevrolet ECHL All-Star Game presented by Jackson Rancheria and Bud Light for the first time in just the third year of the club's existence on Jan. 22-23. The economic impact of the All-Star Game is projected to give the city of Stockton an estimated more than $1 million in revenue and will take place in the 9,737-seat Stockton Arena, adjacent to the new seven-story Sheraton Stockton Hotel at Regent Pointe slated to be completed December 2007. Stockton is the 13th largest city in California and the 69th largest city in the United States of America.

Tickets for the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game and ECHL All-Star Skills Competition start as low as $10 and are currently available by purchasing a 2007-08 Thunder season ticket or min-plan package by calling 209-373-1500. Individual tickets for the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game and All-Star Skills Competition will go on sale soon.

Host of the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game and festivities on Jan. 22 and 23, the Thunder has led the ECHL in attendance for two consecutive seasons and drew 244,085 fans to Stockton Arena in 2006-07.
