(POMONA, NY) - Each season the Rockland Boulders are proud to honor our nation's military, both past and present, with a special Military Appreciation Night. This year, that ode to the troops will take on Friday, July 10 as the defending Can-Am League Champions host the Trois-Rivieres Aigles at 7:00 pm at Provident Bank Park.
"Coming on the heels of our nation's birthday, it is appropriate to be honoring our Armed Forces," said Ken Lehner, Rockland Boulders Team President. "America is the land of the free and the home of the brave because of the commitment and at times ultimate sacrifice of our Armed Forces since 1776."
To honor those who have served us, all Active Duty, Retired, and Disabled Veterans will receive FREE admission when they show proper proof of military service at the box office. All veterans will also be able to purchase up to three more tickets at 50% off. Members of the "Gold Star Parents" will also be granted free admission to the game. Throughout the day, the Boulders will be accepting donations to send to those currently serving overseas. Fans are asked to bring food items such as oatmeal, beef jerky, or dark chocolate, as well as other amenities such as socks, deodorant, toothpaste/tooth brushes, sun block and more.
Make sure you arrive early as the first 1,500 fans will receive a commemorative Boulders camo cap, courtesy of the Nam Knights; gates open at 6:00 pm. You'll also want to stick around after the game for a special Fireworks Extravaganza AND a post-game performance by the band "Big Hix" on the Sani Professional Stage in the Bud Light Bridge Bar. Enjoy $2 Bud & Bud Light drafts all night, as well as $2 Cokes, at select locations throughout the ballpark.
