Nick Schulz and Nick Torres combined to drive in five of San Antonio's seven runs in a Saturday night win over the RockHounds, in front of an outstanding fireworks night crowd of 5,491 at Security Bank Ballpark.

The Missions scored three in the first and three more in the third, all off starter Raul Alcantara (see below), and never trailed. San Antonio earned its third win five-game series (including the make-up of the last game scheduled between the clubs in the first half in the Alamo City).

With one on and two out in the first, Torres (double), Schulz (single) and River Stevens (double) each drove in one run. In the third, Jose Rondon led off with a triple, and Torres and Schulz did the rest. Rondon scored on Torres' line drive fielder's choice to second base and three pitches later Schulz found the back of the left field bullpen with a two-run home run.

The RockHounds drew to within 6-4 with a three-run fourth inning rally, highlighted by Wade Kirkland's two-run double, but the Missions answered in the fifth with a solo home run from Taylor Lindsey, and the both bullpens pitched shutout ball the rest of the way.
