CORPUS CHRISTI--Teoscar Hernandez doubled home the winning run in the 12th inning Tuesday night at Whatburger Field, as the Hooks completed their second four-game sweep of the Missions this season.
San Antonio tied the score on a sixth inning rbi-single by Nick Schulz but the team managed only two hits over the final six innings while striking out eight times.
Missions starter Michael Kelly worked seven innings for the second straight outing, allowing all three runs within the first three innings.
San Antonio reliever Yimmi Brasoban fanned five over three scoreless innings before Jose Torres took over and worked a scoreless eleventh frame.
Torres retired the first two Hooks hitters in the 12th inning before Alejandro Garcia singled, setting the stage for Hernandez.
The Hooks won three one-run games in the series, including two in extra innings.
San Antonio suffered its fourth four-game sweep of the season, matching the club's total from 2009 thru last season.
