
Arkansas 7-2 in Last Nine After Sunday Win

Springdale, AR - After a four-hour & 37-minute, 14-inning win on Saturday, the Arkansas Travelers ventured overnight to Springdale and doubled up the Northwest Arkansas Naturals 8-4 on Sunday afternoon at Arvest Ballpark.
Three different Travs reached base four times in the game, including LF Bo Way who finished 3-for-4 with a triple, walk and five RBIs.
1B Eric Aguilera went 3-for-4 with a walk, double, two RBIs and three runs scored.
DH Jabari Henry finished 2-for-3 with two walks, a home run and two runs scored.
Travs starter RHP Tyler Carpenter (W, 3-3) earned his second straight victory against the Naturals. He worked 5.1 innings and allowed a run on five hits with a walk and four strikeouts.
RHP Alan Busenitz (S, 3) notched the five-out save. Busenitz inherited the tying run at third and go-ahead run at second in the eighth, but induced a groundout and pop-out to end the frame and preserve the lead.
With the Travs leading 5-4 in the ninth, Way laced a three-run triple down the right field line with two outs.
Arkansas went 5-for-14 with runners in scoring position.
Nine different Northwest Arkansas Naturals produced at least one hit, including OF Alex Gordon who was rehabbing from Kansas City.
With the win, Arkansas solidified finishing in third place in the first half of the Texas League North standings.
The two teams will conclude the first half on Monday night at Arvest Ballpark. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
