The Kelowna Rockets were topped 9-2 by the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC.
The Rockets fell behind 4-0 in the first period, but battled back to enter the first intermission down 4-2. The Tigers scored their third power play goal during the second period. In the third frame, the Tigers exploded for five goals.
Kelowna gave up a season-high five goals on seven power plays.
Two numbers were drawn and no one claimed the prize, we are now waiting on a decision from BCLC on the next draw, Wednesday, October 18 vs Swift Current.
GAME SUMMARY
The Tigers took full control early in the first period with two unanswered goals before the ten-minute mark from Cayden Lindstrom (6) and Hunter St. Martin (2). Reid Andresen (1) and Shane Smith (7) pushed the Tigers out to a commanding 4-0 lead. Late in the period, Tij Iginla's(8) power play marker put Kelowna on the board, 40 seconds later Andrew Cristall's (6) breakaway goal cut the Tigers lead in half.
Cayden Lindstrom (7) scored the lone goal of the second period while the Tigers were on the man advantage.
The third period saw the Tigers explode for five goals, including two more power play goals.

UP NEXT
The Rockets will wrap up their five-game homestand with a Wednesday night matchup against the Central Division Swift Current Broncos. Wednesday's game will be a Fan First Menu night, which features $2 hot dogs and $5 Pabst Blue Ribbon beers.
