Rock Cats Add Veteran Catcher For Stretch Run

New Britain, CT - The New Britain Rock Cats of the Eastern League announced today that Danny Lehmann, a 25-year-old Catcher who has spent portions of three seasons in New Britain, is rejoining the club from Rochester in the International League.

The 5'11"/186-pound receiver from The Woodlands, TX began the 2011 Season in New Britain. However, after appearing in just four early season games - in which he batted .462 for the Rock Cats - Lehmann was promoted to Rochester on April 14th. The former 8th Round pick of the Minnesota Twins out of Rice University in the 2007 Draft proceeded to play in 42 games for the 2011 Red Wings where he hit .206 with 5 Doubles, 2 HRs and 13 RBI. The defensive standout had previously played a total of 90 games in New Britain during the 2009 (56) and 2010 (34) seasons.

Danny will be in uniform tonight when the Rock Cats host Altoona at 7:05 PM at New Britain Stadium. He will wear uniform #12.
