RED WINGS NOTES

LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR-ES: Coming into today's game, SS Jecksson Flores was 0-for-his-last-11 and had gone hitless in three-straight, his longest drought of the season with Rochester...the Venezuela-native went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk, collecting his fourth multi-hit performance this season...he has now reached base safely in 12 of his 16 games played.

RAKE ALU: 3B Jake Alu hit his fourth home run of the season in a Wings' uniform tonight off RHP Matt Harvey...since joining the Red Wings from Double-A Harrisburg on 7/12, Alu is tied with OF Andrew Stevenson and the recently promoted slugger Joey Meneses for the most home runs on the squad since that date...the Wings now have a record of 1-3 when the Boston College alumni goes deep.

JOHN NO-GOAT-SKI: 1B John Nogowski went 2-for-5 with two runs scored in today's loss to Norfolk...since joining the squad on 8/2 Nogowski came into today's game batting .444 (16-for-36), with a home run, two doubles, eight RBI, six runs, and four walks...the Florida native now has six multi-hit games and has reached base safely 20 times in his first 11 games as a Red Wing.

DAHLS TO THE WALL: With a seventh-inning RBI double, CF David Dahl extended his on-base streak to 12 games, dating back to 7/31...the former National League All-Star also extended his hit streak to five games, going 7-for-21 since 8/10...since joining the Red Wings on 7/22, the lefty ranks second on the squad with nine RBI...a sacrifice fly in the 5th inning also earned Dahl his fourth multi-RBI game with the Wings.

BANK'S OPEN ON SUNDAY: RF Nick Banks went 2-for-5 with an RBI in today's game...the lefty picked up his first multi-hit game since 8/6 in Columbus (2-for-4) and his first RBI since 7/12 vs. Omaha...he has now hit safely in three-straight games, going 4-for-12 since 8/12.

TIDES NOTES

HEY DJ, SPIN THAT: 1B DJ Stewart went 4-for-4 with two home runs and two RBI in the finale of this six-game series...this was the first time since May 25, 2019, that he recorded four hits (219 G)...it was his first multi-home run game since 8/12/21 against Detroit as a member of the Orioles...his two long balls are his only homers on the road this season.
