TOUGH MUDDER: The Red Wings shut out the Mud Hens, 3-0, Wednesday afternoon, giving them a 2-0 series lead...RF NOMAR MAZARA homered in the win and was responsible for the lone multi-hit effort for Rochester...RHP JOSE UREÑA started on the mound for the Wings, working four scoreless innings while striking out four...LHP ALBERTO BALDONADO contributed to the shut out effort, recording his ninth consecutive scoreless outing en route to the win...RHP JOAN ADON will start for Rochester tonight, with the chance to extend their winning streak to three consecutive games, something they've done just once this season.

SHUTOUT THE HENS: Rochester's shutout victory over Toledo was the Wings' third shutout win of the season and their first since 5/14 against Worcester...Rochester shut out Detroit's top affiliate twice in 2022.

WHO NEEDS HITS: Rochester recorded its first shutout win while being outhit since 4/19 at Norfolk...yesterday marked the second time this month Rochester has been outhit in a shutout win, a feat the Wings accomplished just once in 2022 (7/15 vs. Omaha).

THOU SHALL NOT CROSS: LHP ALBERTO BALDONADO worked 2.0 innings without allowing a run in yesterday's contest, extending his scoreless outing streak to an International League-leading nine games...

Baldonado's appearance was his IL-leading 22nd of the season.

IT'S NOT INTENTIONAL: The Red Wings' offense is one of two International League teams (Omaha) to not have been issued an intentional walk this season.

FREE SMOKE: Rochester's bullpen has yet to surrender a run to the Toledo offense this series...this comes a season after they posted their best bullpen numbers against the Mud Hens in 2022...their 1.36 ERA in 59.2 innings of relief against the Mud Hens was their best mark against any single opponent in 2022...

Dating back to last Tuesday (5/16), the bullpen has posted the top ERA in the International League (1.65).

NO THEFT 'ROUND HERE: Rochester nabbed a would-be base stealer in yesterday's win which brought their caught stealing total vs. Toledo to 40 since 2005...

Toledo has stolen 100 stolen bases against Rochester since 2005.

ROAD WARRIORS: After starting 2-10 in their first two road series, Rochester holds a 6-8 road record in May...the Wings are 6-4 over their last 10 games, with four of those wins coming away from Innovative Field...

Wednesday's win marked just the second time this season that Rochester won consecutive road games (5/4-5 at SWB).

HOMERING MAZARA: RF NOMAR MAZARA put Rochester on the board in the 2nd inning, smashing a 394 ft. home run to right field...his first long ball since 4/29 exited the bat at 106.5 MPH, his fifth-hardest hit ball this season...Mazara is hitting .308 (12-for-39) in May with a home run, two doubles, an RBI and 10 walks.

HUMP DAYYYY: With yesterday's win, the Wings have improved to a 6-1 record on Wednesdays this season...

12 of the Wings' 38 homers have come on Wednesdays when Rochester batters post an OPS of .809, compared to their season-long OPS of .720.
