GWINNETT, GA - Bulls third baseman Tristan Gray and designated hitter Niko Hulszier recorded two hits combined in Durham's 2-1 victory over the Gwinnett Stripers Thursday evening at Coolray Field.

The Stripers got their first score in the first on a walk before Gray's double in the fourth put the Bulls on the board. Hulsizer's solo shot in the same frame made it 2-1.

Bulls starter Evan Mckendry (4.2 IP, 2 H, 5 BB, 2 SO) earned the win, while AJ Smith-Shawver (7.0 IP, 4 H, 3 BB, 8 SO) suffered the defeat.

The two teams are set to continue their six-game road set on Friday afternoon, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm. RHP Sean Hunley is anticipated to get the nod for Durham, while Gwinnett's starting pitcher has not yet been determined.

Durham returns home to Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Monday, May 29 to start a seven-game homestand with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. First pitch of the series opener is set for 5:05pm.
