WE'RE SO BACK: The Rochester Red Wings picked up their second consecutive win last night, clipping Norfolk 12-5...RHP Franklyn Kilome held the Tides hitless through 5.0 innings of work while punching out eight batters and walking four...LHP Luis Avilan, RHP Matt Brill, LHP Alberto Baldonado and RHP Curtis Taylor came on in relief and allowed four earned runs on five hits and two walks, punching out five batters as a 'pen...Rochester's offense produced 16 knocks and 11 RBI across eight separate Red Wings in the win...Six of those eight Wings earned two-hit performances with CF Alex Call logging a three-hit and three-RBI night....RHP Cade Cavalli will toe the rubber tonight for the Wings as they look to extend their two-game winning streak to three-straight.

FRANKLYN KILLIN' IT: RHP Franklyn Kilome held Norfolk hitless through 5.0 innings of action, punching out eight batters in the process...a Wings pitcher hasn't logged eight K's since RHP Sterling Sharp punched out nine batters on July 14 (versus OMA)...the DR-native has punched out at least eight batters in a game just three times this season with the last coming on July 9 (w/ HBG)...following last night's performance, the 6'6" righty now has a K/9 of 13.0 across his last four appearances (26 Ks/18 IP).

CALL OF DUTY: CF Alex Call went 3-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a run last night, having reached base safely 10 times in his first four games as a Red Wing...the Ball State alumni has hit safely in six-straight games (9-for-22) dating back to 8/4 with Columbus...coming into yesterday's contest, and between two teams (ROC & COL), the Minnesota-native's .419 OBP ranks second in all of the International League, behind only former Columbus teammate, OF Will Benson (.426)...the righty has now walked just three times less than he has struck out this season (51 BB/54 SO).

THE CRAZY COCONUTS OF ROCHESTER: The Rochester Red Wings took the field as the Cocos Locos de Rochester last night as part of Minor League Baseball's Copa de la Diversion program...in celebration of the large LatinX community in Rochester, Cocos Locos games feature the music, dancing, food, and fun of Hispanic Culture across four different dates (5/22, 7/26, 8/12, 9/2) during the 2022 season...the Red Wings roster features nine players from Spanish-speaking countries....the Wings last played as the Cocos Locos on July 26th when they took a 12-5 loss against Scranton/WB...with last night's victory, the club improves to 1-2 in the red, white, and blue threads.

TWO-OUT WARRIORS: In the first inning, Rochester put four runs on the board with three of them coming with two men retired in the inning...nine of the Wings 16 hits and seven of their 12 runs came while the squad was down to their final out of the inning...of those nine knocks, three went for extra bases (three 2B)...following last night's contest, the club improves to ranked first in AVG (.267, 325-for-1215) and hits (325) while holding down the two spots in total bases (525) and doubles (73) with two outs.

I GET THE BAG: The Rochester Red Wings tied their season-high four swiped bags as a squad in last night's contest, their fifth time doing so this season...Rochester ranks fifth in swipes (110) and have been caught stealing the sixth-least (24) in the International League this season...LF Andrew Stevenson leads the charge on the club with 24 swipes this season.

ANDREW STEAL-ENSON: LF Andrew Stevenson swiped two bags in last night's contest after going 18 games with just one stolen base...it was the former LSU Tiger's first multi-steal game since 5/19, going 62 games without logging multiple swipes...Stevenson now ranks sixth in the International League in swipes with 24.

CAPED CAVALLI: RHP Cade Cavalli gets the nod for the Wings today who looks to build off of his last outing (8/7 at COL) where he tossed 5.0 innings of action, allowing just two earned runs on six hits and three walks while punching out four...the 6'4" righty has the most strikeouts on the Wings squad this season and a K/9 of 9.0 (85Ks, 85.0 IP) and has a 9.8 K/9 (48Ks, 44.2 IP) across his last nine starts (since 6/4)...Cavalli is averaging ~five strikeouts per game this year (4.7222).

HOW MANY HITS YOU GOT? A LOT: The Red Wings collected 16 hits in last night's contest, the second most knocks they've picked up in a game this season only behind their matchup with Buffalo on 4/16 where they had 18 hits...seven Rochester batters collected multiple hits in the game, the most individual batters with multi-hit performances since the 4/16 contest against Buffalo.

- The Wings have 240 multi-hit performances this season...OF Andrew Stevenson leads the squad with 31 followed by recently promoted slugger Joey Meneses, and IF Jake Noll with 28 each.

- Rochester's 41 hits in their last three games (8/10-8/12) is the most hits the club has picked in a three game stretch all season
