"We're thrilled with that this season's schedule will feature so many games that cater to our fan's wishes," said Road Warriors Executive Vice President and General Manager, Chris Lewis. With 27 weekend games, and lots of games in January and February, the heart of hockey season, we're looking forward to some packed houses. We'd like to thank the BI-LO Center and the ECHL League Office for helping to put together such a great schedule for the upcoming season."
The Road Warriors will take on their Palmetto state rival, the South Carolina Stingrays, 16 times during the season, with eight of those contests being played at home. The Road Warriors will take on division rivals, the Gwinnett Gladiators 6 times on home ice and 13 times during the season. The Road Warriors will battle their other divisional opponents the Florida Everblades 5 times on home ice and 11 times overall and Orlando Solar Bears 3 times on home ice, 8 times overall. The last 15 games of the season are against South Division opponents with the regular season concluding on Sunday April 13th in Orlando.
"With so many games against our division rivals to close out the season, fans can expect some intense hockey come March and April," said Road Warriors Head Coach Dean Stork. "The battle for the playoffs and division crown is going to be in full swing. There's going to be an electric atmosphere, and we'll need our fans behind us."
For second season, the Road Warriors schedule will feature a President's Day Matinee game on Monday February 17th at noon against the Toledo Walleye.
