Bulls Announce 2013-14 Schedule

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, kick-off their second season with the announcement of their 2013-14 regular season and promotional schedules. The team will play a 72-game schedule with the Home Opener at the Cow Palace on November 8 against the Bakersfield Condors. Due to the Grand National Rodeo, the Bulls play their first eight games of the season on the road. SF Bulls Mini Plans are on sale now and include the biggest and best nights of the schedule. Sponsors are jumping on board early for a thrilling second season in Bulls Country. Excitement at the Cow Palace begins in September with Bulls Open Tryouts and the 2nd Annual Fall Classic Adult Hockey Tournament.

The schedule includes 36 home games at the Cow Palace and 36 road games. A total of 29 home games are scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The puck will drop at 7:30 pm at Wednesday through Saturday home games, with doors opening at 6 pm. Sunday home games will begin at 2:15 pm, with doors opening at 12:45 pm.

After a successful inaugural season, San Francisco's lone professional hockey team returns to the Cow Palace for Season Two. Highlighting the second season is a number of exciting promotions.

GIVEAWAYS

The 2013-14 Season will feature more giveaways than the first season, including Bobblehead giveaways at all three Wednesday games: November 27, January 15, March 19, as part of a Wednesday night promotional package.

Have an afternoon of fun at the Cow Palace during our six Sunday matinee games on November 17, December 22, February 16, March 2, March 9 and March 30. All Sunday games will feature a special kids giveaway.

You can also count on some of your favorite giveaways from last season, including Magnetic Schedule (November 8), Cowbell (November 23) and Snow Globe (December 21). New giveaways highlights include a Bulls Holiday Stocking (December 20), Snowflake Wand (December 22) and Kids Mini Stick (March 2).

THEME NIGHTS

For those that enjoyed all the fun and excitement of theme nights last season at Bulls games, you won't be disappointed for the 2013-14 Season. A whole slew of new theme nights are on the schedule, in addition to some old favorites from last year.

The Bulls will be bringing back the Teddy Bear Toss (December 14), Country Night (January 4), Star Wars Day (March 9) and Fan Appreciation Night (April 11).

Among the new themes for the upcoming season are Cancer Awareness Night/Movember (November 16), Jewish Heritage Night (November 22), Friday the 13th Midnight Movie Night (December 13), Scout Night (January 10), Union Night (January 31), Mardi Gras Night (February 20), College Night (December 21), Faith and Fellowship Night, (March 15) and Autism Awareness Night (March 29).

The Bulls will also host two Specialty Jersey Nights. On Saturday, January 11 the Bulls will host their 2nd Annual LGBTQ Night. For the game, the players will wear special jerseys to celebrate the Bay Area gay and lesbian community. On Friday, March 7, the Bulls will host 90s Night and wear special jerseys to commemorate the occasion. Jerseys worn at both of these games will be auctioned and raffled off during and immediately following each game.

The Bulls will also celebrate Hockey Across America Week with three fun games that include a Midnight Movie viewing of "Slapshot" (February 28), Free Postgame Open Ice Skate (March 1) and Youth Sports Day (March 2).

For those who make it out to the four Thursday games: January 9, January 30 and March 13, will once again experience Thirsty Thursday at the Cow Palace. Draft domestic beer at select locations will be buy two get each 50% off. Enjoy them while you socialize in the newly-expanded beer garden at ice level.

The Bulls will be at home for seven straight games: from February 28 through March 15. The busiest month for the Bulls will be November, when they will play 15 contests, seven at home and eight on the road. The Bulls have a favorable schedule down the stretch with 16 of the final 25 games being played at the Cow Palace.

The Bulls take on Pacific Division rivals Stockton (15), Bakersfield (11), Ontario (10) and Las Vegas (3) on 39 occasions. Stockton and Alaska will visit the Bulls more than any other team, seven times each. The Bulls meet their Mountain Division foes Alaska (12), Utah (7), Colorado (9) and Idaho (5) a total of 33 times.

With the announcement of the 2013-14 regular season schedule, the Bulls have also released the dates of the 18-game and 12-game Mini Plans. The 18-game and 12-game Mini Plans include many of the most sought-after games, including Home Opener, Teddy Bear Toss and two specialty jersey nights.

For those that can't make the 18 games selected for the Mini Plan, there will be six additional games to choose from as substitutes. For the 12-Game Mini Plan, there are four additional dates to choose from.

EXCITEMENT AT THE COW PALACE

Before the SF Bulls season gets started in October, sign up for a number of events at the Cow Palace in September. For the second straight season, the Bulls are hosting Open Tryouts on September 14 and 15. Take your shot at making the SF Bulls 2013-14 official roster. Last season three players from the tryout were invited to Training Camp and one suited up for a game at the Cow Palace during the regular season.
