Idaho Steelheads News Release

Boise, ID - The Idaho Steelheads, in conjunction with the ECHL, released its schedule for the upcoming 2013-14 season on Wednesday, a 72-game schedule that opens on October 18 when the Steelheads visit the Utah Grizzlies.

Idaho's home opener is the following Wednesday, October 23, against the San Francisco Bulls - the Bulls only appearance in Boise during the regular season.

All game times at CenturyLink Arena are 7:10 PM, except for a pair of Sunday contests (Dec. 22, Jan. 26) which will begin at 5:10 PM.

The team will once again play 36 games at CenturyLink Arena in Boise as well as 36 road games. Utah (12), Bakersfield (11) and Alaska (11) are the most common opponents on Idaho's schedule, representing almost exactly half of Idaho's 72-game schedule. The Steelheads will not face any teams from the ECHL's Eastern Conference during the regular season.

The rival Aces come to Boise in November and December for a pair of three-game sets. Las Vegas will also play six games at CenturyLink Arena next season: two in November, one in February and three in March. The two November dates will mark the second straight season that the Steelheads and Wranglers will spend Thanksgiving in Boise. It's part of a season-long eleven-game homestand that has the Steelheads on home ice from November 27 until December 22.

Idaho's final home games of the regular season are April 4-5 against Colorado and the regular season concludes the following weekend with games at Utah on April 11-12.
