Road Stretch Begins on FSN Northwest

January 16, 2009 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Spokane Chiefs News Release

The Spokane Chiefs will begin a four game road stretch versus U.S. Division opponents when they travel to Portland's Rose Garden tonight to take on the Winter Hawks. Friday night's game can be seen live on FSN Northwest (Comcast channel 32 in Spokane) starting at 7:30.

Friday night's game will be the second half of a home- and-home series with Portland after the Chiefs doubled up the Winter Hawks 4-2 on Wednesday night. The game was a 2-2 affair before Steve Kuhn and Tyler Johnson scored late in the third for the win.

Saturday night, the Chiefs will travel to Tri-City to take on the Americans in the seventh meeting of the year between the two. The match-up can be seen live on Comcast channel 78 at 7:00. Coming into this weekend, Spokane trails the Americans by nine points in the U.S. Division.

Due to a scheduling conflict, Saturday's radio broadcast will be aired on 790 KJRB News & Talk. The broadcast will start at 6:30 with Comcast Hockey Tonight.

Fans listening on-line to the live radio streaming of the game will not be affected.

Once the Gonzaga men's basketball game is over on 1510 KGA, the Chiefs game will be simulcast on both stations.

Next week, Spokane will travel to Everett on Wednesday night and Seattle on Friday before returning home to host the Americans on Saturday, January 24th.

Tickets to all home games are available by calling the Chiefs office at (509) 535-PUCK or TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT.
