Prince Albert Raiders News Release
Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - It is with deep sympathy the Prince Albert Raiders announce the passing of local businessman Art Hauser, yesterday. In 2003 Hauser assisted the Bring Back the Magic campaign with a donation of $1 million for renovations to the home of the Raiders, formerly named the Comuniplex, and now known as the Art Hauser Centre.
The PA Bottlers owner was a great friend of not only the Raiders, but the entire Prince Albert community with donations over the past four years exceeding $2.5 million from Mr. Hauser.
"It is a very sad day for the Raiders organization and our entire city", says Bruno Campese, Raiders Head Coach and General Manager. "Mr. Hauser helped us to bring our rink up to Western Hockey League standards to maintain our franchise in Prince Albert. Deepest sympathies from the Raider family goes to the Hauser family."
The Raiders will honour Art Hauser with a moment of silence tomorrow night before they host the Brandon Wheat Kings at 7:30 PM at the Art Hauser Centre.
