Rivets Sweep Kingfish in Four Games

Rockford, Ill. - The Kingfish have been swept by the Rockford Rivets in a four game series after falling in Rockford tonight 10-2.

Rockford got the scoring started and never looked back. The Rivets plated single runs in the first and second innings, before opening the floodgates in the fifth. The rivets struck for four runs, and took a commanding 6-0 lead.

The Kingfish got two back in the seventh with a Cal Jadacki sacrifice fly and a Jack Yalowitz RBI single. Rockford struck back with four runs later in the inning, and the Rivets cruised to victory.

Aaron Schwark started for the Kingfish on the mound and worked 4.2 IP, and allowed 4 runs off of 7 hits. Colton Lee relieved him in the fifth and surrendered 5 runs in 1.2 IP. Ty Harris was the final Kingfish to toe the slab and let home one run in 1.2 IP.

Jack Yalowitz had another successful night at the plate going 2 for 4 with an RBI. Pete Schuler had a 1 for 2 evening including a walk. The Kingfish head to Waterloo tomorrow to take on the Bucks at 3:35 CT.
