RIVERMEN PROMOTIONS

Tuesday, March 4 vs. Quad City Flames - 7 pm

Nesquik 2-for-Tuesday- All upper bowl tickets are buy-one, get-one free with Nesquik UPC Proof of Purchase at the Peoria Civic Center Box Office! Come join us for a great division rivalry game.

Sunday, March 9 vs. Chicago Wolves - 3 pm

Peoria Journal Star/Comcast Cable Family Fun on the Run Day! There will be $1 upper bowl tickets for all kids 12-and-under, PLUS $1 hot dogs, Cokes, and bags of chips from 2-3 pm. Families are invited to attend with inflatables for the kids, face painting, balloon animals, and more! Plus, don't forget the post-game skate with the Rivermen! Bring your skates!

Radio: All 80 games, home and away, are broadcast live on your NEW Home for Rivermen Hockey, 96.5 ESPN RADIO. All broadcasts begin one half-hour before game time with the Voice of the Rivermen, Tom Callahan.

Internet Audio: LIVE streaming audio of all Rivermen games is available for no charge at www.rivermen.net.

Internet Video: LIVE streaming video with the accompanying audio feed is available at www.rivermen.net through the facilities of the b2 networks. The video Web cast of each game is available for a pay-per-view fee of $6.

WEEK 21 - RIVERMEN ACTION (2-1-0-0)

Friday, February 29 - RIVERMEN 2 vs. Grand Rapids 4

Peoria fell behind 2-0 after the first period before Julian Talbot scored the lone goal of the second period to make it 2-1 from Trent Whitfield. After Kyle Quincey helped Grand Rapids back to a two-goal lead, Talbot returned the favor by setting up Whitfield for a power play goal at 15:32. Mark Cullen added an empty net marker for the final score.

Saturday, March 1 - RIVERMEN 2 vs. Lake Erie 1

Mike Glumac and Trent Whitfield recorded first period goals just 1:25 apart to forge a 2-0 Rivermen lead after 20 minutes. Marek Schwarz made it stand up with 26 saves as only Mitch Love managed to break his bid for a shutout with 4:47 remaining in regulation time.

Sunday, March 2 - RIVERMEN 4 @ Rockford 3

Martin Kariya led the way with three assists while Micki DuPont and Charles Linglet each recorded a pair of helpers as the Rivermen beat the IceHogs for the second time in as many tries at the Rockford MetroCentre. Four different players scored for Peoria, while Marek Schwarz was again sharp to earn his second straight win with 28 stops.

RIVERMEN NEWS AND NOTES

Peoria won back-to-back games this weekend for the first time since Jan. 31 with victories over Lake Erie Sat. and Rockford Sun. The Rivermen tied a team-season high by scoring three power play goals on Sunday against Rockford. Peoria set a team-season high with two five-on-three power play goals Sunday against Rockford. Marek Schwarz is 2-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .931 save percentage since returning from the ECHL's Alaska Aces where he won goaltender of the week honors to end February.
