Hamilton hosts Manitoba twice this week, including "Kids Day" on Sunday afternoon

The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will host the Manitoba Moose (AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks) twice this weekend at Copps Coliseum to round out their season-long six-game homestand. The first tilt will be on Friday, March 7th at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Sunday afternoon rematch on March 9th at 4:00 p.m.

Last week, the Bulldogs posted a 2-2-0-0 record in four home games at Copps Coliseum. Hamilton dropped their division rivals the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-3 on Wednesday, February 27th before posting a 1-2-0-0 record in a stretch of three games in three days on the weekend. The 'Dogs lost 6-0 to the Iowa Stars on Friday, February 29th, bounced back the next night by edging the Hershey Bears 3-2, before being doubled up 4-2 by the Syracuse Crunch on Sunday, March 2nd.

"KIDS DAY" AT COPPS COLISEUM!:

On Sunday, March 9th at 4:00 p.m. when the Hamilton Bulldogs host the Manitoba Moose, the 'Dogs will host "Kids Day" at Copps Coliseum. Lucky fans between the ages of 7-to-16 will have the chance to be the McDonald's flag bearer, captain for the day, announcer for the game, broadcaster for the day, photographer for a period, or stick boy/girl for the game!

- With a loss to the Stars on Friday night (Feb. 29), Hamilton wrapped up the month of February with an 11-3-1-0 record, good enough for a .767 winning percentage in that span

- The 'Dogs had their season-high eight-game point streak (Feb. 15/08 - Feb. 27/08) snapped last week on Friday night (Feb. 29), posting a 7-0-1-0 record in that span. Hamilton's 2006-2007 season-high point streak was 12-games (Jan. 19/07 - Feb. 18/07) and was the second longest streak in franchise history

- Montreal LW Chris Higgins registered four points this past week; tallying two goals and adding an assist in a 5-1 win over Atlanta (Feb. 26), and assisting on the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory of New Jersey (Mar. 1)
