Rivermen Take Postgame Show to the Locker Room
October 7, 2010 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Peoria Rivermen News Release
The Peoria Rivermen open their season on Friday and will wrap up the night's festivities with a live radio show broadcast from the Locker Room Sports Bar & Grill on Jefferson St. following the game. Rivermen head coach Jared Bednar will join radio voice Brendan Burke to break down the game and mingle with fans following the home opener.
The Locker Room is located at 112 SW Jefferson St across from the arena, next to Jim's Steakhouse. Fans are encouraged to come enjoy the show live as soon as the final buzzer sounds and take advantage of the nightly drink specials. It's also the perfect place stop on your way to the game with half-priced appetizers pregame.
The Embassy Suites postgame show will be broadcast live from the Locker Room following every Saturday home game, with the exception of Feb. 19 (due to team travel). Instead the broadcast will take place following the Rivermen game with Rockford on Friday, Feb. 25.
The Lexus Club, located on the second level of the Peoria Civic Center, will continue to be the home for radio postgame shows on all other home dates. Live interviews with coaches and players will be a part of each Embassy Suites postgame show as well as highlights from the game and an update on action all around the hockey world.
Game broadcasts from start to finish can be heard on 96.5 FM ESPN Radio as well as online through www.rivermen.net.
Season ticket packages are still on sale through the Rivermen office. Call (309) 676-1040 for more information or to reserve your seat for the upcoming season.
