
Rivermen Kick Off Weekend At Home Tonight

The Peoria Rivermen will face off against the Iowa Stars on Friday and the Rockford IceHogs this Saturday as the team returns home after a twelve-day hiatus.
Saturday night will feature a Rivermen Concert Event with DecembeRadio, Bread of Stone, and Superhero performing after the game, which faces off at 7 pm. Each band will be performing its hits after the contest on Rivermen Faith and Family Night. Also, Saturday night will feature the continuation of Tyler Rennette's HOCKEY 'N' HEELS Program, open to female fans of all ages and free with your game ticket. You must RSVP for the program by calling Tyler at (309) 680-3561. The game marks the first regular season AHL appearance for the Rockford IceHogs.
Tonight Iowa returns to Carver Arena for a 7 pm game against the Rivermen on Coca-Cola 2-for-$22 Night, bring any Coke product can to the Peoria Civic Center Box Office and receive two upper bowl tickets for just $22. Peoria has taken Iowa to a shootout twice this year, with the Stars edging the boys in blue each time. Friday's game is the third of ten meetings between the two clubs.
Friday marks the second half of a home-and-home series with Iowa that started Tuesday in Des Moines. Saturday the Rockford IceHogs make its maiden regular season voyage for an intra-state rivalry game with the top farm team of the Chicago Blackhawks.
