Grand Rapids Griffins News Release
Grand Rapids Griffins vs. Toronto Marlies
Saturday - 7 p.m. - Van Andel Arena
- On Saturday, the Griffins will entertain the AHL's best team when the Toronto Marlies pay a visit to Van Andel Arena. At 8-0-0-2, the Marlies reside in first place in the North Division and stand as the only team in the league that has not suffered either a regulation or overtime loss.
- The Griffins will honor Grand Rapids' finest with pre-game and in-game salutes of local police officers, firefighters and paramedics. Some of these men and women will be on the ice with service vehicles during the first intermission for a presentation in their honor.
- In addition, the Griffins and SportClips will team up to benefit the VFW Operation Uplink, with SportClips giving $5 hair cuts to fans on the concourse during the game. All proceeds will help provide free phone cards to troops and hospitalized veterans to connect more than 60,000 military families around the world this holiday season.
TICKETS: Tickets for Saturday's game are available at The Zone at Van Andel Arena and all Star Tickets Plus outlets, including Meijer stores. Call 222-4000 / 800-585-3737 or purchase online at griffinshockey.com.
