Peoria Rivermen News Release
HOCKEY 'N' HEELS, a Rivermen Concert Event featuring DecembeRadio, Bread of Stone, and Superhero, and the first-ever regular season AHL visit from the Rockford IceHogs combine for an exciting night of action and entertainment at the Peoria Civic Center tonight!
Tyler Rennette's popular HOCKEY 'N' HEELS group returns tonight and participants will meet in the Great Hall at 5:30 pm prior to the game. Admission to the program is free with your game ticket but you must RSVP by calling Tyler at (309) 680-3561 to register.
Then the IceHogs and Rivermen do battle for the first time in the regular season. Rockford is the top affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks, making the intra-state rivalry a natural for Peoria both geographically, and as the top affiliate of the St. Louis Blues. The two teams met twice in the pre-season, with Rockford winning 4-2 in Peoria and 2-1 back home in preparation for the regular season. The IceHogs have had an unusual start to the season, having to take to the road for the entire month of October while the Rockford Metro Centre's renovations were finished in time for this hockey season.
Finally, don't miss out in the post-game as a Rivermen Concert Event featuring DecembeRadio, Bread of Stone, and Superhero gets underway immediately following the conclusion of tonight's contest. Each band will perform its hits in a show that is sure to be a must-hear for all Christian music fans!
Tickets are on sale for the game right through to game time at the Peoria Civic Center Box Office, through all TicketMaster locations, on line at www.TicketMaster.com, or charge by phone at (309) 676-8700. See you tonight!
