Mississippi RiverKings News Release
SOUTHAVEN---The Memphis RiverKings waived goalie Tyson Gajda from his five game try-out contract today so he may pursue potential opportunities with playoff teams that may need an extra goaltender. The rookie signed with Memphis on January 30 when the RiverKings needed another goalie due to a J.F. Racine call-up to St. John's of the A.H.L. Gajda, a 23 year old native of Westfield, Massachusetts, played four minutes and 31 seconds in his lone appearance for the RiverKings and made one save in a 5-2 loss to Colorado.
Gajda also spent time this season with the Topeka Tarantulas and the United Hockey League's Kansas City Outlaws.
Season tickets for the 2005-2006 RiverKings' season are available now. For season ticket information, call the RiverKings at 662-342-1755 and ask for the sales department or stop by the DCC during business hours.
