
RiverKings reclaim top spot in weekly poll

SOUTHAVEN --- The Central Hockey League's released its weekly coach's poll today and the Memphis RiverKings have moved back to the number one ranking thanks to a perfect 3-0 week. The RiverKings had held the number one spot during the week of November 13 and has been number two the past two weeks.
The RiverKings record of 12-3-2 has them not only on top of the CHL's Northeast Division, but also the entire league. The team's 26 standings points and .765 winning percentage put them just ahead of previous number one and current second ranked team, Colorado (24, .750).
Oklahoma City, Youngstown and Laredo round out the top five with Lubbock, Rio Grande Valley, Austin, Wichita and Tulsa completing the remainder of the top 10.
The RiverKings play a pair of games this weekend. They head out on the road with a game at Wichita on Friday at 7:05 before returning home to host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs Saturday at 7:05 at the DCC.
The first 1,500 fans on Saturday night will get a Travis Banga Mini Bobblehead courtesy of Cellular South.
