RiverKings Back on Top of CHL Coach's Poll

December 6, 2006 - Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release

The Memphis RiverKings have reclaimed the top position in the weekly Central Hockey League Coach's Poll, ending the Colorado Eagles run at the top after two weeks. Memphis enjoyed a perfect three wins in three games during the past week, pulling out one goal victories in each. The RiverKings' total poll points of 156 and 13 first place votes equal poll highs, matching Colorado's results from two weeks ago. The Eagles slip a single spot into the #2 position after splitting a pair of road games last week.

The Oklahoma City Blazers (#4 to #3), Youngstown SteelHounds (#5 to #4) and Laredo Bucks (#6 to #5) all move up a single spot, while the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees make the biggest jump, from #10 to #7. Austin (#8) and Tulsa (#10) both make their first appearance in the Top 10, while Wichita (#9) returns after a one week absence.

Each week throughout the season the CHL will release the results of the Coaches Poll. Each first place selection earns 10 points, second place earns 9 points, etc. Coaches cannot vote for their own team, creating a potential perfect score of 160 points should one club receive all 16 possible first place votes. Previous week results listed below current week.
